You can get a signed Elden Ring poster, but only if you have the cash

You could soon own a signed Elden Ring poster thanks to a charity auction this week, but you’ll need a few thousand dollars to have a chance. YouTuber and voice actor Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he had an Elden Ring poster of Malenia, Blade of Miquella signed by FromSoftware head Hidetaka Miyazaki that he was putting up for auction. However, right now, the top bid for the poster is $15,000. The bids started at $1 on July 12 and have skyrocketed. The top bidder right now is somebody going under the name of popular YouTuber Jacksepticeye, and he’s been going head-to-head with an anonymous donor that’s also been jacking up the price. Proceeds from the auction will go toward the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which works to improve the lives of people with immunodeficiency disorders. The “fair market” value for the poster is $250, so it’s already exceeded expectations. An auctioned item will be added every day until July 19, when the in-person auction will take place in Los Angeles. At the time of this writing, you can get a gaming session with famous streamer Pokimane and a hangout with Ironmouse. Elden Ring is still one of the biggest games in the world right now thanks to the recent Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which brings players back into the The Lands Between for even more adventure and challenge. FromSoftware was already a beloved studio before Elden Ring‘s 2022 release, basically pioneering the Soulslike genre, but the open-world Elden Ring was a huge hit, winning countless Game of the Year awards and becoming one of the top selling games of all time. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s final, brutally difficult boss has gotten the nerf he deserves — or doesn’t, depending on who you ask. Developer FromSoftware released update 1.14, which is now out across all platforms (PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC). It’s full of the usual bug fixes, but the focus seems to be on weapon and enemy balance in multiple areas of the game. However, the most impactful for players are the changes made to the final boss in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC: Promised Consort Radahn. Elden Ring is already an immensely difficult game — as was expected from a FromSoftware title — but players found that Shadow of the Erdtree was even a bit too difficult. But Redditors have discovered that there might even be a secret difficulty setting that makes the DLC even tougher. A thread by user Spleenczar posted Wednesday noticed a feature called DLC+ at the bottom of the Fextralife new game plus page, which claims that if you’ve already played through the DLC on New Game+ and want to do another playthrough, the game gets more difficult, with enemies dealing more damage and having more health. To test this, Spleenczar made a save copy of an almost-completed DLC run, defeated the final boss in the copied save, and then compared how each character fared in an encounter with Messmer the Impaler. A lot of people have been having trouble with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, due to both general FromSoftware game difficulty and changes made to the leveling system once you get to the DLC area. A tiny patch issued Wednesday aims to help with that. Calibration Update 1.12.2 tweaks two things regarding the Scadutree Blessing, a DLC-exclusive blessing that allows you to deal and take more damage as you upgrade it. The patch increases attack and damage negation for the first half of the upgrade tree, with the second half being “more gradual.” It also increased the blessing’s final level, so players who max it out will benefit more.
