Motorola Backflip Makes a Music Video

The latest Motorola-made, Google Android-powered smartphone combo, the Motorola Backflip, now has a promotion video to accompany it. The Motorola Backflip features a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G connectivity options, 2GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi (802.11 b,g) and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity options, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a microSD memory card slot that offers support for up to 32GB of additional storage space. The new ad displays the Motorola Backflip doing—what else—some flipping. This new handset features a hinged front screen which flips up to a full-QWERTY keyboard inside. The Motorola Backflip is rumored to launch via AT&T as soon as March 7 with a price tag of $324.
The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra has caught my eye. Its specs aren’t confirmed yet, but the leak we saw this morning comes from OnLeaks — a source that is rarely mistaken on this subject. Foldable phones are everywhere now (and Apple is rumored to be working on one, too), but the price tag is the biggest obstacle for most people. The Razr 60 Ultra is expected to start at $1,000 — less than I paid for my current phone — and outclass even the iPhone 16 Pro Max in terms of power.
Google has added a new and exciting feature to Gemini Advanced, its AI personal assistant and chatbot. Using just a text prompt, Gemini can now create an 8-second animated video, bringing your words to life in a way you won’t quite believe. The feature is powered by Veo 2, its video model introduced in late 2024, which is designed to create realistic videos complete with a deep understanding of human movements, real-world scenes, and even different lens types. Google explains how it’s simple to create videos with Gemini and Veo 2. “Just describe the scene you want to create — whether it’s a short story, a visual concept, or a specific scene — and Gemini will bring your ideas to life. The more detailed your description, the more control you have over the final video. This opens up a world of fun creative possibilities, letting your imagination go wild to picture unreal combinations, explore varied visual styles from realism to fantasy, or quickly narrate short visual ideas.”
There has been a flurry of new Motorola phones announced over the past weeks, with the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 in the U.S. following the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion in the U.K., and now another new Motorola phone has been leaked, suggesting its official launch isn’t far away. The phone is the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, which is set to be one of the brand’s top models in 2025, and we can tell by the name it’s a model destined for release outside the U.S., but a version of it is likely to arrive in North America too. The latest leak shows three different versions of the Edge 60 Pro in new Pantone colors, which are being called Sparkling Grape, Shadow Green, and Dazzling Blue. These may not be the final names attached to the devices by Motorola and partner Pantone. Two of the three colors match a previous leak, which showed the Edge 60 Pro in a promotional video, with a third grey model also featured.
